I provide psychological testing including neuropsychological testing for diagnostic clarification and assessment of cognitive limitations and of dysfunction.  To name a few examples, common areas of testing would include; adult evaluation for ADHD; assessing whether an individual may be in the early stages of developing a major mental illness, testing for diagnostic clarification between such conditions as for example bipolar disorder versus schizophrenia versus PTSD, and assessing early onset dementia versus depression.

If you feel that therapy has not helped you or you have had a bad experience, consider a consultation.  There are a variety of treatment approaches and it is sometimes the case that an individual will only be exposed to a particular approach.  My breadth of experience and belief in a variety of treatment modalities may be helpful to you.

I am not able to prescribe medication; however, I do hold a Master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology and so can consult with your treating medical provider about your medication needs as they pertain to a mental health or chronic pain condition.

Helping individuals deal with and cope with chronic pain is an area of specialization and one which calls for a variety of treatment approaches.  Specific approaches such as self-hypnosis can be very helpful as well as understanding the particulars of pain theory.  For chronic pain a multi-faceted treatment approach is often best as opposed to limiting oneself to medical interventions and medications alone.  Complementary and alternative treatment approaches can also at times be very helpful.  Though I personally don’t do these, I have a large group of practitioners that I refer to in order to supplement an individual’s treatment.  Included in my referral base would be acupuncturists, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists, energy workers and physical therapists.
